Every day I get messages from people describing illnesses resulting from toxic mold exposure and how their lives have been destroyed because of this deadly dark fungus. Kelly Severson is an acupuncturist and herbalist and the co-host and co-founder of the Exposing Mold podcast. Kealy joins me on a live video.
Here is a partial transcript:
Shemane: Welcome Kealy! When I got sick last year, you were the first one to reach out and send me a bunch of herbs and also prayers. And you told me to read Psalm 91. I think that’s one of the reasons I thought about you when I wanted to do this podcast.
Mold is talked about in the Bible in Leviticus:
Speaker 1 (03:21): “On the seventh day, the priest shall return to inspect the house. If the mildew has spread on the walls, he is to order that the contaminated stones be torn out and thrown into an unclean place outside of town. If the mildew reappears in the house, after the stones have been torn out and the house is scraped and plastered, it is a destructive mildew and the house is unclean and it must be torn down.”
What are your thoughts about that?
Kealy: Well, I think that’s a really interesting Bible passage that a lot of people refer to. I know that court cases in mold litigation have been opened with that Bible passage, as you know, a really strong effect, a declaration of how dangerous it is, just hearing this.
It makes me curious if they were observing behavior and personality changes in correlation with mold or mildew growth, or curious around the background of why they were taking that, taking that so seriously as, as to write what they did in the Bible.”
